The WÜSTHOF company was founded in the city of Solingen, known as the German capital of cutlery and renowned as the "city of blades." Established over 200 years ago, in the distant year of 1814, it began as a small family business and is still run by the descendants of the founders. Today, the company is headed by the cousins, Harald and Viola Wüsthof, representatives of the seventh generation of the Wüsthof family.

The high quality of WÜSTHOF knives is ensured through the use of both traditional and modern manufacturing technologies. The knives are produced in three factories in Solingen. A significant portion of the brand's catalog consists of premium kitchen knives and knife sets with forged blades, the final sharpening of which is carried out by skilled artisans. At the same time, many technological processes that do not require manual labor are implemented using modern technologies, including more than a hundred industrial robots with programmed control.
